Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. Robert Frost
Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. William Wordsworth
As a poet, I can appreciate another poets work. The use of words to conjure emotions, feelings, and observations is an art. The beauty of a poem is the meanings that can be drawn based on the reader’s state of mind. Like an abstract painting, poems reflect one’s inner thoughts.
